Went to George's as I used to be a regular customer there.Ordered a mini fish,chips and peas meal deal.Slightly disappointed with the fish which had obviously been in the hot cabinet for a while, making it dry and a little tough.The chips were a mix of slightly soggy and overcooked.Customer service was OK, but nothing special. With a little bit of work I'm sure that they could be as good as they once were.

Best fish and chip shop around. Being a chain only makes it better. Can have a sit down meal if you like.
I don't usually particularly like Fish and Chips, but this was a really lovely exception! My fish was really lovely, and the chips we're nicely cooked. My Fiancee had scampi which also got high praise from her!Definitely returning next time we're on for a 'chippy tea'!Also, the food was plenty hot enough for my chops to remain piping hot, despite taking them outside for a walk to the car on the breezy, and slightly drizzly day that we visited.
