Nice open space but the children's play park is in dire need of updating.
Nice clean park for kids to play and a good place to exercise the dog's . Everybody pick's up after their dogs which is not common in other areas of Belper
In reply to Dick Harris, if the football pitch wasn't on a slope the children wouldn't be able to go sledging when the snow comes. To Leon Debus, considering it's surrounded by houses, it can't be any bigger. Originally, only the bottom part of the field was the rec as there was a stone wall across (just above the tree) and the top part was used for keeping cattle. I remember one day many years ago one of the cows escaped and made her way up the small channel on to Windmill Rise.
