It's the most beautiful pub, in a stunning location, with the most incredible view, loads of parking, a transpeak bus stop, local ales and gins, truly delicious food with ethically and often in-house sourced meat, epic vegan options, (we had a superb vegan roast at mid day, with fluffy and flavoursome Yorkshires) friendly service, really cozy decor, vintage games room, dog friendly, live bands.... it's just one of those pubs that gets it bang on right every time. xxx
Lovely local pub for us. Good choice of beers and friendly staff and good food available (check for times though!). Well worth a visit...
We had a great evening here, we where amazed at the menu, 3 vegan options and about 8 veggie options and GF available on loads of dishes here too. Really didn't expect this on the outskirts of town, staff where lovely and attentive, the food was incredibly tasty and flavoursome , will definitely be returning
Always love it there. A proper pub with great beer and service. Tim and Laura are always very welcoming. Very dog friendly.
The Fisherman's Rest is worth a visit. It's just off the main A6 and has ample space for parking. There's a good selection of real ales. I've never eaten here but the food looks amazing. Try to visit on a sunny day as it has a gorgeous beer garden.
